Het is hier, waar Kapelaan Knipscheer, in zijn bekende genealogie Hopmans(1945) iets over het hoofd heft gezien. N.l "Jongman van Rosendaal"
Hij liet Petrus afstammen van vijf generaties Bergse eigenaren van pottebakkerijen, met als stamvader Jan Pieterss Hopmans uit Wachtendonk (D)
