Op Amersfoort 14-10-1768 [dtb] zijn in ondertrouw gegaan: Cornelis van Brakel, meerderjarig jongman, woonagtig alhier, geas: seert met zijn vader Christiaan van Brakel, ter eenre. Ende Eva van maanen, meerderjarige dogter, mede alhier woonagtig, geassisteert met haar moeder antje jansen, weduwe van Hendrik van Maanen, ter andere zijden.
Merkwaardig is dat zij pas op Amersfoort 18-12-1778 [dtb] zijn getrouwd: Op dat moment hadden zij ook al vier kinderen: ‘Na vertoon van het gerequireerd als wanneer mede zijn gewettigd hunlieder vier kinderen, genaamd Christiaan, oud vijftien jaaren, Dina, dertien jaaren, Elisabeth, Vier en Alida twee jaaren oudt, alle bij den ander voor dit huwelijk geprocreëert’. Ten slotte is naast het civiele huwelijk ook nog het kerkelijk huwelijk voltrokken.
