In eerste instantie werd hij begraven op de militaire Begraafplaats te Linde. Later werd hij overgebracht naar de Militaire Begraafplaats te Hoogstade waar hij nu nog begraven ligt in het graf nr. 258.
Op 14 oktober 1897 kwam hij van Sint Niklaas naar Pervijze om te wonen op de Dorpplaas 75, schuin over het begin van de Molenstraat.
Op 25 juni 1905 verhuisde hij naar de Kerkstraat in Waasmunster.
Zijn naam komt niet voor op het oorlogsmonument te Pervijze.
