"Peter Scheers, Nijmeegs zilversmid, geboren te Nijmegen 25 november 1718, zoon van Roelant Scheers en Direxken Greveter, ondertrouwd te Nijmegen 4 augustus 1748 met Adriana Theodora van Brummelen; begraven aldaar 15 mei 1772.
Hij kocht in 1746 een huis op de Grote Markt, dat de spreuk droeg: 'Des Heren Wil Geschiet Altit'. In 1749 vermeld als meester van het zilversmedenambt.
Werk: twee couverts dessertzilver (gemeentemuseum Arnhem): blad op vier pootjes, voor mevr. C.P.A. van de Graaff-Noothoven van Goor, Bennekom." (Hendriks 1987)
