Dankzij de vertaalhulp van A. van der Vaart (Geneanet, Edward Sanders: Forums - Paleografie, transcriptie en oude talen) is in de trouwacte le lezen:

"Getrout den XXVIII (28e) Sept(ember) 1614

Andries van der Vliet jongesel van Haarlem
woonende bij de Calistoorn (Calistoren) met Grietghen
Gerreds jongedochter van Slooten in
Vriesland
woonende in de corte houtstraat".

In de periode van 1600-1615 is in het NH trouwregister dit het enige echtpaar als combinatie Andries - Grietje Gerrits dat te vinden is. Ik heb hen dan ook als de meest 'waarschijnlijke' ouders van Pieter Andriesz gemarkeerd.

De Calistoren, een halfronde toren met een trapgevel aan de stadskant, toentertijd gelegen tussen de Grote en de Kleine Houtpoort, vormde samen met zijn buren, de verdediging aan de zuidkant van Haarlem.
