    In 1743 huwde zoon Hendrik Louis Bisschop, 35 jaar oud, Phemia Coolhaas, 24 jaar oud, dochter van een zilversmid, en vestigde hij zich in 1744 als leerlooier in de Isendoorn, een voormalig klooster in de Zutphense Nieuwstad. De firma zou de Isendoorn van de gemeente blijven huren tot in 1854 de huur werd opgezegd omdat het gebouw toen - met een aantal andere gebouwen - moest worden vrijgemaakt om een garnizoen dragonders onder te brengen. Op de plaats waar eens de looierij stond, staat nu het Baudartius College.
