  MIRIAM STOVEKEN BAYONNE Mrs. Miriam "Mickey" (Brace) Stoveken, age 82 years, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at the Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. Mrs. Stoveken was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident. A Homemaker, Mickey, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a member of the Peoples Baptist Church of Bayonne, where she was greatly loved by her church community. Miriam was referred to as one of the church's cheerleaders for her faithful support of the church and all of its activities. Miriam was active in the Missions Community of the Peoples Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church and was also a former Sunday School Instructor. Miriam is pre-deceased by her husband Richard in 1987; her parents, Edward Brace and Emma (Anderson) Brace; her sister Blanche Roos and her brother Edward Brace. Surviving are her 4 sons, Donald and his wife Hope, Jeffery and his wife Cindy, Andrew and his wife Marie, and Kenneth Stoveken; 7 grandchildren, Eric, Jessica, Samantha, Joshua, Sarah, Hannah and Andrew Stoveken; and also several great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where on Tuesday evening the Rev. Paul Zeron, Pastor of the Peoples Baptist Church, will hold a chapel service at 7:45 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Interment at East Ridgelawn-Crest Haven Mem. Pk, Cemetery, Clifton, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mickey's memory may be made to America's Keswick Bible Conference; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
