Notes about Heinz Otto "Heinz" Wrück

Obituary for Heinz Otto Wruck
Taken from us suddenly, Heinz Wruck passed away New Years Day 2022. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Heinz was many things to many people. But what made everyone love him was his mischievous sense of humour and his ability to make you feel like part of the family.

He was a prolific jack of all trades and was always willing to teach and mentor others. Heinz’s comedic personality was only eclipsed by his overwhelming generosity and enormous heart. Heinz always put others before himself and if you needed anything, he would be first to lend a hand.

Heinz’s marriage to Halina was a 59 year commitment to someone he loved more than life itself, and a glowing example of how extraordinary love can be. Heinz loved music, and dancing with his dear wife. They danced together beautifully and loved whirling around the dance floor with one another at any opportunity.

Heinz's children and grandchildren brought him great joy. His endless love and generosity knew no bounds when it came to them.

Heinz spent many years in the transportation industry, having driven buses, subway trains and transport trucks. His passengers were always pleased to see Heinz during their commutes because of his stellar safety record, entertaining demeanour and rule-bending driving habits. Heinz also knew the streets in the greater Toronto area better than even the most sophisticated GPS unit. If you needed to get somewhere, Heinz was the guy to get you there fast, always with a smile and a quick joke or two.

Heinz had a passion for automobiles, and his ability to refurbish and repair them were legendary. There was always another car appearing in the driveway, or two, or three for him to inspect and fix. He also liked to keep busy with home improvements, and over the years he made many changes to the family home by building, painting, redecorating and renovating all on his own.

To say he will be missed would be an incredibly large understatement. In Heinz's own words, “Don't cry when I'm gone, just wave and say Hasta La Vista!”

Cremation has taken place as per Heinz's wishes and there will be no funeral service.
