Elisabeth Maria Catharina (Betsy) Blankwaardt is geboren op 27-02-1874 op Weltevreden.

In 1881 vertrekt het gezin naar Nederland. Waarna zij in 1892 naar Zuid Afrika gaat waarschijnlijk als hulp in de huishouding. In 1914 is ze weer een jaartje in Nederland en vertrekt weer naar Zuid Afrika waar ze tot 1922 blijft. Na diverse omzwervingen gaat ze in 1940 weer naar Indie waar ze samen met haar zuster Alice Ernestine Blankwaardt in het Jappenkamp beland. Haar zuster overlijd daar maar zelf gaat ze in 1946 weer naar Zuid Afrika. In de Zuid afrika archieven wordt vermeld dat ze getrouwd is met Emile Jacques Henry August Frappier. De voornamen worden ook wel in andere volgorde genoemd. Nu vermoed ik dat Emile Jacques Henry August Frappier als officier in Nederlands Indie gediend heeft. Wie weet er meer van Emile Jacques Henry August Frappier?

Op 3 april 1925 is een passagierslijst van de "City of Sparta" die vanuit London naar Zuid Afrika vertrekt. Hierop staat de familie Frappier vermeld maar mevrouw Frappier staat als I. dus dat kan niet Elisabeth Maria Catharina Blankwaardt zijn.
