Zo noemde hij zich ook bij de doop van het eerste kind, Johannes Groothuis van ,t Rickmanspoel. Maar bij de later geboren kinderen wordt er telkens geschreven zoon of dochter van Johannes Rickmanspoel en Bertha Rickmanspoel.
