Ze was violiste en eigenaar van een salon-orkest. Hiermee reisde ze door Nederland, België, Duitsland en Engeland. Met dit salon-orkest kwam ze ook in Groningen waar ze haar latere echtgenoot ontmoet heeft. Ze was o.a. inspirator/lerares van André Rieu. In Abcoude gaf ze viool en piano les. In de tweede wereldoorlog zorgde ze dat een kinderorkest en koor kwam in Abcoude. (bron: Kleindochter)
