Artikel van Fernand Van de Velde: Jacob DE MUNCK: Geeraert Ysebrant was ridder van Jerusalem en heer van de heerlijkheden de Moere, Willemaers en Meulenackers. De familie Ysebrant bewoonde het omwalde hof ter Moere, dat "met zijn veilige schuilplaats en schone woonst met ophaalbrug als een geschikte residentie voor een edelman" in een document van 13 mei 1530 werd omschreven. De familie Ysebrant voerde een eigen hofhouding zoals blijkt uit een verkoopakte van 1533 waarin "Jan van Exaerde als baljuw optreedt voor Geeraert Ysebrant in diens heerlijke hof 'ter Moere' binnen Sintsamen met Jan Briesschinc, Wouter de Hollandere, Jan de Hollandere en Machiel van Landeghem, laten in hetzelfde hof". Dans L'Annuaire de la Noblesse Belge 1887: seigneur de Van der Moere (la Moere), à Saint Nicolas, dont il fit le relief le 28 mars 1535, vendit en 1550 ce fief, qui contenait 66 bonniers de terre, à Guillaume de Waelwyck
