Willem Tensen (1817-1863), die een welgestelde boer was, was getrouwd met Geertje Dijkman (1815-1887). Geertje werd spottend “De Koningin van Sheba” genoemd omdat ze graag haar welstand tentoon spreidde. De achtergrond was wellicht dat zij in armoede was opgegroeid. Het huwelijk wasin zoverre ongebruikelijk dat rijke ouders vaak hun best deden om hun kinderen te laten trouwen met andere kinderen van rijke ouders (“geld trouwt geld”) (bron: tensenfamilie.nl).
