Notes about Antonius Joannes Cornelis "Toon" van Gorp

Dora van Gorp-Reintjes huwde te Gendringen 06-11-1917 met Antoon (Toon) van Gorp.
Toon was een zoon van een molenaar in Tilburg en later in Venlo (Bovenste
Molen).
Het eerste jaar woonde het echtpaar in Venlo, waar het eerste kind geboren
werd. Daarna ca. 1920 verhuisde men terug naar Tilburg, Rubensplein 4.
Op dit adres, bij zijn Tante Dora, sprak onze vader af met zijn aanstaande bruid Dina Boerakker,
toen hij in Ellewoutsdijk (Zeeland) werkte.
Om zo voor beiden reistijd en kosten te besparen.
Ze kregen in totaal 12 kinderen. In Tilburg was Toon vertegenwoordiger in meel en bezocht alle bakkers in en rondom Tilburg.
Hij was één van de eerste Brabanders met al in 1924 de registratie van een auto met kenteken N-12516 op zijn naam. Voor haar huwelijk was Dora nog van sept.2015 tot febr. 1917 dienstmaagd in Roermond op het adres Buitenop 13e, pal tegenover de hoofdingang van de kathedraal aldaar.
