    85 Pel LuMi stond vlak naast de hefbrug voor de Spoorweghaven (Dokhaven), op korte afstand van de verkeersbrug. De batterij werd daar in de ochtend aangevallen door parachutisten van het 3e Peloton van 3./FJR.1, die in Zwijndrecht waren geland en de brug hadden ingenomen. Via de trappenhuizen kwamen parachutisten naar beneden en wisten onder dekking van kameraden op de brug die het peloton in dekking dwongen over de hefbrug te komen en van korte afstand de bezetting van de vier posities met handgranaten tot overgave te dwingen. Drie leden van het peloton verloren het leven bij dit korte gevecht. De soldaten Bour, De Lang en Wildeboer.
