(Jacob Pieck was buitengewoon gecommitteerde in de Staten-Generaal in 1658 en had zitting in de Raad van State sinds 1670. Jacob was in 1666 huwelijksvriend (getuige) van Gijsbert van Mathenes en erfde Brakel van hem. Hij kreeg vlak voor zijn dood in 1675 ook nog de helft van de hofstede Achthoven als erfgoed in de schoot geworpen)
