Notes about Gijsbert Pieck

(In 1414 verpand Hertog Reinalt hem de ambtmannie van Beesd en Rhenoy voor 1000 Rijnsche guldens die hij nog van de Hertog te vorderen had, dit bedrag werd in 1420 nog verhoogd met 600 Rijnsche guldens. Nog van 1414 tot 1416 onder hertog Reinalt raad en overste rentmeester van Gelre zijnde, was hij in 1418 tot 1423 te vinden in het Hollandse kamp. Samen met Otto Pieck stond hij in 1418 ten dienste van hertog Jan van Beijeren tijdens de Hoekse en Kabeljauwse twisten in Holland, was in 1419 diens raad en in 1420 thesaurier van Holland. In het vijandelijke kamp derhalve. De tol bij het Hollandse Gorinchem pachtte hij in 1421 en ontving in 1422 en 1423 het geleide van Holland. In 1424 kocht hij van heer Willem van Buren het slot en hbuis te Beesd)
