(Anne Frans Willem Pieck werd ambtman (drost of baljuw) van Beesd en Rhenoy door afstanddoening van zijn vader Willem Hendrik Pieck in 1758 en werd daardoor verantwoordelijk voor de rechtsprak in dat gebied. Na de dood van zijn vader werd hij beleend in 1762. Toegelaten in de Ridderschap van het kwartier van Nijmegen op 4 juni 1758 en optredend als buitengewoon afgevaardigde bij de Staten-Generaal. Hij verliet het Ridderschap in 1767 en werd van zijn eed ontslagen (Quartier-reces). Anna Frans Willem stond bij de Oranjes goed aangeschreven, hij was voor langere tijd kamerheer van prins Willem V. Baron A.F.W. Pieck, heer van Zoelen, ging er op 9 september 1763 toe over een stuk grond, waarop het bekende Blauwe Huis te Beesd had gestaan, te verkopen aan Peter Verstegen, heer van Palmesteyn te Deil. Later zag hij zich, na zijn vermogen te hebben verspeeld, genoodzaakt de ambtmannie van Beesd in 1767 "in de verkoop te doen". Brakel volgde in 1768 en Zoelen kwam in 1770 aan de beurt. Genealoog W. de Haas schreef rond 1880 over Anna Frans Willem: "hij ging naar Indië, leed schipbreuk en is naar alle gedachten verongelukt, dewijl nooit meer iets van hem gehoord is, in 1775". Hij was een "aangenaam en bemind mensch", van wien ook de Prins van Oranje veel werk maakte.)
