* 1868 t/m 1873 van het 3/mschip “Insulinde”, gebouwd in 1865 te Amsterdam, 950 ton o.m., varend voor de Gebr. Hendrichs & Co te Amsterdam. Het schip is in 1873 verongelukt in de Noordzee;

* 1874 t/m 1876 van het 3/mschip “Ernestine” ex Augusta, gebouwd in 1868 te Newburyport, 1400 ton o.m., varend voor A.Hendrichs & Co te Amsterdam. Het schip voer in 1877 voor F.U.H.Reiger & Co te Amsterdam en was herdoopt in “President Trakranen”;

* 1876 van de comp.bark “Slamat”, gebouwd in 1876 te Amsterdam 945 ton n.m., varend voor A.Hendrichs & Co te Amsterdam.

Overige bijzonderheden

J.H.J.Jolly verzorgde per 03 mei 1868 vanuit Nieuwediep met de “Insulinde een troepentransport van 2 officieren en 150 manschappen. Hij arriveerde te Batavia op 31 juli 1868 na een reis van 89 dagen.

Op 24 mei 1869 vertrok hij van Nieuwediep met de “Insulinde” en een troepentransport van 2 officieren en 125 manschappen. Hij arriveerde te Batavia op 22 augustus 1869 na een reis van 90 dagen. Onderweg was 1 soldaat overleden065.

In het tijdschrift “De Zee”, jg.1, p.22-26, 1879 staat een artikel door J.C.Ceuvel “De reparatie van het Nederl. fregatschip “Ernestine”.

In 1875 was op reis van Newcastle naar Java het schip Ernestine, geladen met 1950 ton steenkolen, op de engelse kust op de klippen gelopen. Na het overboord zetten van c. 400 ton kolen kwam het schip weer vlot, maar had veel schade opgelopen. Het werd naar Nieuwediep gesleept om te worden gerepareerd. De assuradeuren achtten de reparatiekosten te hoog en de de rederij verkocht het schip op 09 augustus 1875. De nieuwe eigenaar zette de reparatie door en het artikel gaat uitvoerig in op de schade en de rapartie. Het schip kwam daarna onder de naam “President Trakranen” weer in de vaart.
