Uit het kohier van de 50e penning (GA Ridderkerk nr.49) blijkt datBastiaen in 1575 de door z ijn vader nagelaten landerijen in de polderOud-Reierwaard in gebruik had. Hij woonde op de o uderlijke hofstede opDe Nes onder Rijsoord. Samen met zijn broer Wijt Francken huurde Bastiaen in 1579 in Rijsoord 9 morgen 1A hond land van het "Heilige Geesthuister Groote Kerk" te D ordrecht. Dit land werd voorheen door FranckGijsbertsz. "opten Nesse" gehuurd (GA Dordrech t inv.559, fol.153). In een transportakte van 5 juni 1592 staat Bastiaen Francken vermeld alsbelender van een per ceel land in de hoef "die Seventhyen Margen" inOud-Reierwaard (ARA RA Ridderkerk inv.nr.87) Op 20 mei 1626 transporteerde Bastiaens (bastaard)zoon WillemBastiaensen van den Nes vrij pa tromoniaal land in Oud-Reierwaard, datwas belend aan o.a. land dat hij met zijn broers bezat . Daarbij werdverwezen naar een op 25 februari 1611 gepasseerde akte van "bedeelinge"voor s chout en gerechten te Rijsoord. (ARA RA Ridderkerk inv.nr.9fol.21 e.v.) Ongetwijfeld betro f het hier kaveling van door BastiaenFrancken van den Nes nagelaten goederen. Helaas is he t oud-rechterlijkarchief van Rijsoord uit die tijd niet bewaard gebleven.Bastiaen huwde mogelijk (1e) met Anneken NN. Hij huwde op 29 juni 1597in Rijsoord met Sijke n Lenaertsdr van Oud-Alblas, die op 20 september1607 nog als doopgetuige werd genoemd in Bar endrecht.
