    Garagehouder Jan Evers, getrouwd en vader van een kind, hielp de Nijmeegse knokploeg bij ontsnapping van illegale werkers uit gevangenschap. Ook vervoerde hij wapens en hielp hij joden. Al sinds 1941 verspreidde hij bovendien illegale bladen. Hij werd thuis gearresteerd op 29 april 1944. Gefusilleerd op 21 juli 1944 in KZ Vught, waarschijnlijk mede als represaille voor aanslag op Duitse militairen in Nijmegen.
