geboren 17 februari 1736-1736-17 maart 1782

Gehuwd met Anna Rebekah Bredahl op 16 december 1774.

Anna Rebekah wordt op haar weduwschap een ontmoetingsplaats voor haar hele familie, inclusief haar achterkleindochter C S A Bille.

Mathias werd tweede luitenant op 21-0 en primer luitenant in 1763, luitenant-commandant in 1770 en hij werd benoemd tot kapitein in 1781.

Op 13 december 1781 passeerde hij Kronborg, met hem op het fregat Bornholm is onder andere zijn oudste zoon Michael Johannes Petronius Bille die er als cadet was. Na een verschrikkelijke storm ten noorden van Ierland werd het schip uiteindelijk naar de stad Newport gebracht.

Op 17 maart overleed Mathias aan zenuwkoorts.

De weduwe van Hen werd gegeven als eregift, een belangrijke monetaire gift door de koning, en werd benoemd tot een komende portier. Op zijn dag van overlijden staat een van de verjaardagen van de zeedieren.

Het fregat "Bornholm", hoofdkapitein Mathias Bille, op een reis naar West-Indië redt zich als zee-arrestant na 4 weken stormen en 6 dagen orkaan in de Noord-Atlantische Oceaan naar New Port Prat aan de noordwestkust van Ierland. 130 man van de bemanning worden ziek en gek aan wal. De baas sterft aan overwerk.

Zijn kleinzoon, Marthe Bille, snijdt een moeras over hem en zijn familie. Steen Een Kever en familie.

Zijn lijn gaat verder met zijn zoon Søren A Bille
