Arent Gerritsz Apeldoorn blijkt een vermogend landbouwer en schepen.
In 1701 koopt hij Anna Polle voor 582 gulden.
In 1710 koopt hij driekantstuk Het Loetje (perceel C164) voor 176 gulden.
In 1711 koopt hij De Limmercroft voor 641 gulden.
In 1711 koopt hij het Weidje van Steeven Jansz (perceel C149) voor 610 gulden. Verkoopt het weidje weer, want in 1717 wordt het weidje door iemand anders verkocht.
In 1718 gaat Arent akkoord met een legaat voor zijn zwager Kraakman betreffende perceel B208/B209 zijn een huis en erf. In 1726 koopt zijn weduwe Trijn Kraakman dit perceel van haar broer voor 682 gulden. In 1743 verkoopt zoon Gerrit de afsplitsing Kroft (perceel B207b) voor 54 gulden.
In 1722 koopt hij het zuiddeel van de wei van Krijn Soyer (perceel C153) voor 393 gulden. Dit perceel staat in stukken in 1751 en 1760 op naam van zijn zoon Gerrit. In 1784 wordt dit perceel genoemd in de verdeling van de erfenis over 2 kleinzonen Arent en Cornelis Apeldoorn. In 1832 komt dit perceel in eigendom van Gerard Apeldoorn.
