    In 2023 kreeg Tineke de diagnose FTD (frontale temporale dementie).
    Bovendien kwam in april 2024 daar nog de diagnose PSP bij, een progressieve spierziekte, waardoor Tineke na veel valpartijen, een rollator en rolstoel uiteindelijk in juli 2024 in verzorgingscentrum De Blinkert terecht kwam. Een zorgcentrum vlak bij het huis van Tineke en Hans in Haarlem. En dichtbij hun drie kinderen en hun gezinnen, die ook in de buurt wonen.
    Tineke was blij met de vele dagelijkse bezoeken, wandelingen in de vlindertuin, bezoekjes op zondag aan hun huis aan de Bloemveldlaan en de spelletjes Rummikub. Het was heel moeilijk (om te zien) dat de spieren Tineke steeds meer in de steek lieten , waardoor praten,
    eten en drinken steeds moeilijker werden.
    Op 4 oktober overleed zij, veel te jong. Maar een verademing dat haar lijden voorbij was.
    Op 10 oktober hebben we in het crematorium in Haarlem tijdens een mooie ceremonie afscheid genomen van Tineke.
