Notes about Anna Catharina Jostes

De familienaam Jostes en de Jeneverstokerij in Glandorf;
in 1824 is te Glandorf de "Kornbrennerei" opgericht door L.Jostes. De familie moet dus wel over geld hebben beschikt - zie voetnoot.
Uit correspondentie in de jaren 1980-1990 tussen HWJ den Hartog en Max Jostes blijkt een terecht vermoeden over de familieband tussen de families Jostes en Hannemann. Op 10 juli 1702 trouwt Elisabeth Borchers met Ernst Jostes waaruit op 28 november 1704 zoon Johann Theodor wordt geboren. Een 2e huwelijk tussen Elisabeth Borchers en Casper Hermann Hannemann wordt verondersteld, doch (nog) niet bevestigd uit aktes. Het zou wel verklaren waarom CH Hannemann peet is van de zoon van Anna Catharina en waarom de voornamen gelijk zijn.

Voetnoot omtrent rijkdom:
Afkomst uit steenrijke voorouders wordt vermoed met referentie naar "Klaare van Schaarswoude". Uit overlevering is bekend dat er jaarlijks geld werd gegeven aan allen die tot deze familie behoorde, maar dat die een lagere stand huwde (o.a. werklieden) radicaal werden uitgesloten. Zo ging dat toen: rijkdom moest in bepaalde kring blijven.
