Hubert van Buren Kaets (1216-1262), kleinzoon van Otto I van Buren, is de link naar de voorouders van onze koninklijke famile. Koning Willem Alexander is een afstammmeling van Otto I van Buren (net als DJ Armin van Buren).
In de afstammelingen van Otto I komen de namen Kaets, Caets, van Caetshage (= Culemborg) en Kaats voor.
Ook de naam Van Zuylen, Van Zuylenstein komen voor; de grondleggers van Kasteel De Haar in Haarzuilens.
Bij de wederopbouw van Kasteel de Haar wordt meestermetselaar Casper Hermanus Vonk (1857-1940) aangetrokken voor de gewelven van het kasteel. In latere generaties komen de nazaten van de grondleggers -- een nog onbewezen lijn van "van Buren" naar Hendrik Kaats (1575-????) -- en de meestermetselaar in mijn stamboom (Adrianus Johannes Mattheus Maria Ottenhoff , geboren 22-2-1957) bij elkaar.
De ene tak is werkverschaffer voor de andere tak ...
De grootvader van Casper Hermanus Vonk (1857-1940) is Casper Hermann Fonke (1770-1834) (kwartierstaatnumer 60) en mijn directe voorvader. Hij is eveneens meestermetselaar en vestigde zich vanuit Duitsland in Maarssen.
Zowel Casper Hermann Fonke (1770-1834) (kwartierstaatnummer 60) als Hendrik Kaats (1575-????) (kwartierstaatnummer 3328) komen als voorouders voor in mijn kwartierstaat. Als Hendrik Kaats een nakomeling van Hubert van Buren Kaets is, dan ben ik via Otto I van Buren "familie" van Koning Willem Alexander.
