Notes about Gerardus Josephus "Gerard" Schilder

Gerard trok in WOII Nederland in op zoek naar voedsel. Hij kwam onder andere op 23 november 1944 terecht bij de opa van Inge Tessel in De Goorn (gemeente Koggenland - Noord Holland). Inge zocht contact omdat Gerard in het poëzie album van haar moeder Dora had geschreven. Zij schreef mij:
"Deze mensen kwamen bij mijn opa voedsel halen. Mijn moeder was nog vrij jong maar herinnert dat deze mensen voor hun belangrijk nieuws van wat er gebeurde in de rest van Nederland. Dan zaten ze in een met ramen afgeplakte kamer en werden de verhalen verteld. Ze bleven ook slapen. Zal wel in de schuur zijn geweest. Mijn moeder heeft er goede herinneringen aan. Een soort gezelligheid rond de kachel. Mijn opa en oma deden veel aan opvang. Er liepen ook kinderen uit Rotterdam in het rond en een joods meisje. Nu kan ik mijn oude moeder vertellen dat hij getrouwd is geweest en oud is geworden."
Naast Gerard schreef ook Tonnij Schilder uit Weesp op 5 maart 1945 in het poëzie album van Dora. Deze Tonnij heb ik (nog) niet in mijn stamboom teruggevonden. Tonnij lijkt als geboortedatum 9 april te hebben; familie van Gerard?
