Hij komt met vader mee uit Indie,als die verlof krijgt, en komt op 10-10-1862 in Schagen. Gaat met vader meen naar Maastricht op 7-10-1862. Na diens trouwen in Maastricht gaat hij met gezin 23-4-1864 mee naar Indie terug. Na pensioenering van vader gaat hij mee terug naar Nederland (Schagen). Op enig moment gaat hij terug naar Ned. Indie. Hij wordt stationschef te Olehléh bij de dienst tot exploitatie van de stoomtramweg te Atjeh in 1887. Wegens ziekte eervol ontslag verleend met ingang van de dag waarop het hem verleend binnenlands verlof naar Fort De Kock verstrijkt 1888. Wordt 1891 belast met de waarneming der betrekking van 3e commies bij de dienst der staatsspoorwegen te Sumatra. Krijgt in 1896 wegens langdurige dienst 1 jaar verlof naar Europa verleend. Hij vertrekt op 22-1-1897 weer uit Breda naar Indie. In 1898 belast met de waarneming van de betrekking van ??? op Java. Overleden op 14-9-1900 in het Militair Hospitaal te Weltevreden.
