Op 23 juni 1829 met zijn gezin aangekomen in de kolonie van de Maatschappij van Weldadigheid [Bevolkingsregister Veenhuizen Deel 4a, 1818-1855 (toeg. 2001.16; nr. 39)].
Later is de familie ingeschreven in de kolonie Frederiksoord op verschillende hoeves: hoeve 76 (inv.nr. 1349); hoeve 102 (inv.nr. 1349); hoeve 102 (inv.nr. 1350); hoeve 133 (inv.nr. 1350); hoeve 133 (inv.nr. 1351).
Bijzonderheden:
Is kolonist. Uit de contributie van de Subcom Leeuwarden, in de plaats van een vertrokken gezin. Op aankomstdatum geplaatst in kolonie I, Frederiksoord.
Op 08-11-1860 is de hoeve overgeschreven op naam van zoon Hermanus Andries. Gehuwd met Catharina Dirksen, geb. ??-07-1876.Uit het huwelijk zijn 7 kinderen geboren.Op 05-12-1860 is het echtpaar met ontslag naar Leeuwarden vertrokken.
