<p>Evang. Luthers gedoopt, tot op hoge leeftijd bleef zij deze reliegie getrouw, ondanks de driuk van haar naaste R.K. verwanten; een dochter in het klooster bood zelfs haar leven aan de Heer, in de hoop de ziel van haar moeder te redden, alles tevergeefs; de moeder wilde haar eed, gedqaan bij haar Lutherse belijdenis niet breken. Op haar sterfbed echter liet zij zich R.K. dopen en vermaakte haar belijdenisjapon aan haar kleinzoon, de historicus G.A. Meijer O.P. toen kapelaan te Nijmegen, om ervan een kazuifel te laten maken. Het kazuifel bevindt zich thans in de Dominicuskerk te Nijmegen (zie familiepapieren Meijer).</p>
