Hij kreeg via de OD (Ordedienst; een grote en vroege Nederlandse verzetsorganisatie) een aantal veilige slaap- en verblijfplaatsen toegewezen, waaronder dat van ene Dr. Jan Leonard Noest, toen woonachtig op de Emmalaan 19 in Utrecht. Noest is geboren op 11/06/1890 te Terneuzen en kinderloos gestorven op 24 januari 1964 in Zeist. Het enige dat ik weet is dat dr. J.L. Noest vanaf rond de oorlog tot 1955 een 'Cardiologische parktijk' had op de Emmalaan 19 in Utrecht., waarna hij pensioneerde en verhuisde naar Zeist om zijn oude dag te slijten. Hier overleed hij op 24/01/1964.

Dr. J.L. Noest was ongetwijfeld lid van de O.D. Utrecht en in 1946 is hij voor het jaar 1947 benoemd tot lid van het Tribunaal van het Arrondissement van Utrecht, opgericht ter zuivering van de ambtelijke organisaties van lieden die met de bezetter hadden geheuld. Omdat dokter J.L. Noest (verhuisde eind jaren '50 naar Zeist en overleed daar op 24/01/1964) een dappere rol speelde in het helpen onderduiken van Han Jordaan (die op 26-jarige leeftijd 21/04/1945 omkwam in Mauthausen), wil ik meer over hem te weten komen en wellicht een foto van hem bemachtigen.
