(een "morgen" was 0,85 ha - een stuk grond dat in één ochtend kon worden geploegd)
Van 1501 tot 1511 gebruikt hij 12 morgen, ook in Darthuizen. En 16 morgen noemt men "een hoeve" land.
Hij woonde vanaf ca 1497 op het nog bestaande erf De Rijt te Darthuizen. (thans De Riet, Bremweg 14 te Leersum)(CvS)
Op 7 dec.1499 zegelde Willem Willemsz de Cruijff een officieël stuk met een zegel waarin een dwarsbalk met 3 lelies (2-1). (Bron: RAU Dom nr 1793) Hieruit ontwikkelde zich een familiewapen, dat is terug te vinden op de tinnen avondmaalsbeker, die de vrouw van Aelbert de Kruijf in 1721 schonk aan de kerk in Overlangbroek.

De naam van Dirck Jansz dye Cruve wordt genoemd. Hij is geboren in 1435, trouwde met Clemijnse van Catwijck en kreeg twee zoons (althans, voor zover bekend). Jan Dirckz dye Cruve werd geboren in 1460, Willem in 1473. Of was het toch 1465?
