Notes about Arnoldus Mork

Op 26-7-1791 kregen Arnoldus Murk en Gerrit Flux, beiden van Schoonhoven, toestemming voor een zesdaags bezoek aan Gouda. Vermoedelijk hield dit verband met hun beroep. Immers, Gouda was meer nog dan Schoonhoven een belangrijke pijpenmakersstad. Arnoldus Murk met zijn vrouw en de kinderen Johanna (12), Hendrik (10), Coenraat (7) en Emmigje (3), verhuisden op 31-3-1806 naar Gouda (Gouda, oud archief nr. 515 en klapper verhuisde personen Schoonhoven). Het verblijf daar moet echter van korte duur zijn geweest, want vanaf 1808 vinden wij het gezin weer te Schoonhoven. In 1813 woonde Arnold op de Varkensmarkt.
