In mei/juni 1946 woonde hij kennelijk tijdelijk bij zijn broer Wim Zegel in de Willem van Noortstraat 17 in Utrecht.

Het uittreksel van het bevolkingsregistervan Nerchem, Belgieë geeft namelijk aan dat hij komende van Utrecht, Willem van Noortstraat 17 op 17 mei 1946 te Berchem / Antwerpen in België werd ingeschreven op het adres Diksmuidelaan 76.

Hij is daarna op 4 augustus 1950 nog weer eens verhuisd naar de Apollostraat 145 in Berchem.Op dat adres heeft hij gewoond tot zijn overlijden
