Het is niet zeker of het volgende verhaal bij deze Nikus behoort. Ook zijn vader werd Nikus Mons Nzn. genoemd (drie generaties met de naam Nikus!).

Op 13-6-1909 's avonds om kwart voor elf bevond Nikus Mons Nzn. zich luid schreeuwende, scheldende en tierende in de Bruggestraat in Harderwijk. JanDrost, 42 jaar, wonende in Harderwijk, agent van politie, had Nikus tot kalmte gemaand, omdat hij burengerucht veroorzaakte en de nachtrust verstoorde.Nikus bleef doorgaan, waarop Jan Drost en Jan Brands, agent van politie, Nikus toen vastpakten om hem mee naar het politiebureau te nemen. Peter PetersenJGzn., 31 jaar, visser, geboren en wonende in Harderwijk en Gerard Foppen HJzn., 26 jaar, vissersknecht, geboren en wonende in Harderwijk, volgensJan Drost niet geheel nuchter zijnde, begonnen aan Nikus te trekken, zeggende dat deze naar boord moest. Peter Petersen, ter zitting aanwezig, zei,dat hij niet dronken was geweest, slechts wilde, dat Nikus losgelaten werd. Peter Petersen hield vol niet aan Nikus getrokken te hebben, hem slechtseven had vastgehouden, niet meer wetende waarom.
Vonnis op 29-7-1909.
Peter Petersen en Gerard Foppen ieder drie weken hechtenis.
