Zij was religieuze (zuster Maria Henrina). Ingetreden 30 april 1939. Eeuwige professie 15 november 1943. Zij was 61 jaar lid van de Congregatie van de Zusters van de Liefde. Zij heeft gewoond: Insula Dei 2, Velperweg 137 te Arnhem. Maria was liefdezuster in het Sint Antonius Ziekenhuis te Utrecht. Zr Henrina heeft zich met liefde en toewijding als verpleegkundige ingezet voor de zieke medemens. In 1964 werd zij vanuit Raalte uitgezonden naar Suriname en heeft daar gewerkt op de operatiekamer. Om gezondheids redenen kwam zuster Henrina weer naar Nederland, waar zij op verschillende plaatsen dienstbaar was in verpleging en verzorging. Zuster Henrina was een diepgelovige vrouw en had een groot vertrouwen in haar Heer en in Maria. Ondanks haar slechte gezondheid had zijaltijd veel belangstelling voor anderen en was behulpzaam voor iedereen, waar zij ook weer kracht uit putte. De band met haar familie en medezusters was heel sterk.
