Notes about Bernadus Pothof

Het is niet precies duidelijk wanneer het gezin van Gaanderen naar Silvolde is verhuisd, maar waarschijnlijk rond 1811, want dan is op de kadastrale kaart hun huis al als "Pothof" ingetekend aan de weg van Terborg naar Dinxperlo (de huidige Oude Dinxperloseweg) in het buurtschap Ligtenberg tussen de Langendijk en de Galgendijk (nu Lichtenberg). Het huis was echter in 1811 nog van Gradus Tangelder, maar de omliggende percelen al van Bernardus. Het huis blijkt echter uit de memorie van successie bij het overlijden van zoon Jan bekend te zijn geweest als boerenplaats de Kemper. In 1826 staat het gezin ingeschreven in Silvolde, huis nr. 131, (is dit huis in 1829 omgenummerd naar 242?), met de kinderen Evert, Willemina en Jan, en knecht Hendrik Mullink en meid Johanna van Vorden. Bernard is dan koopman.
In 1829 staan ingeschreven in Silvolde nr. 242 met kinderen Evert, Jan en Willemina de meid Johanna van Vorden. Bernardus en Evert zijn dan van beroep landbouwer. In 1839 wonen daar naast Bernard en Gerritjen nog Willemina Pothoff (geb. Wisch, 1814) en Jan Pothoff
