In 1420 worden zijn zoons met hun vaders goed beleend. "Peter de Gier, heer Peterszoon, ontvangt een windmeulen, gelegen bij Driel met een huijs ende hoffstatt daarbij gelegen in den Kivitzhamme tot Zutphensch rechte anno 1402. Dezelfde met Heijmerick ende Hillen, sijne sonen ontfangen die windmeule tot Driel in den Kijvitsham met den werve daar sij op staet, met twee hont lands, waarvan hij sijnen sonen Heijmerick ende Hillen na sijnen doot die helft bekannt, die hij doch sijn leven lanck als tuchter gebruijcken sal, anno 1414".
