Hij wordt dan ook regelmatig Wubbe Sijmens genoemd. Van dit echtpaar worden 7 kinderen gedoopt, waarvan er 6 volwassen worden. De oudste zoon Boelman erft Eelsingh-erve, de tweede zoon Hindrick erft Sijmens-erve en is de stamvader van de familie Sijms. De derde zoon Alverigh huwt met Lucke Boelmans Ter Haar en hun nazaten noemen zich Ter Raar. De vierde zoon Jan huwt met Wupke Geerts Tammes en hun nakomelingen noemen zich Tammes.
