Ontving in 1405 'het goed te Wentyngh met sijnen tobehoren in Zelhem'. Dit leen wordt vernieuwd in 1424 als Zutphens recht. Het Wentinck wordt het eerst genoemd in 1305. De afstammelingen van Bernt hebben er 280 jaar geboerd (van 1405 tot 21 febr. 1685)
