Susanna is in het klooster ingetreden op 5 maart 1934. Werd lid van de Congregatie van de Zusters Franciscanessen van Denekamp. Zij nam als naam: Zuster M. Romualdis. Eerste professie 15 oktober 1936. Geloften voor het leven 19 november 1941. Heeft de verpleegstersopleiding gevolgd in het Jozef ziekenhuis te Enschede. In 1948 is zij met enkele anderen uitgezonden naar Indonesie. Eerst in Palembang en Baturadja en vanaf 1952 in het ziekenhuis van Metro. In 1983 is zij weer teruggekeerd naar Nederland.
