Op 2-8-1927 is het huwelijk geheel ontbonden (rechtbank Haarlem). Bernardus werd veroordeeld in de proceskosten. Hij was niet ter zitting aanwezig en was vertrokken onbekend waarheen.

Notes about Elisabeth Maria BÖHM

Op 30 oktober 1915 woonde Elisabeth Maria Mentink-Böhm nog altijd in het dorp Oud-Velsen (Velsen-Zuid) aan de Noorderdorpstraat K11. Het huwelijk was hoogstwaarschijnlijk gesloten in gemeenschap van goederen, waardoor de koopwoning gemeenschappelijk eigendom was. Het woonrecht werd vermoedelijk aan Elisabeth Maria toegewezen of bewilligde Bernardus stilzwijgend in de situatie ten gunste van zijn drie kinderen. In elk geval kwam het niet tot verkoop van de woning als gevolg van de scheiding. Dit blijkt namelijk uit het volgende.
Bernardus overleed op18 april 1938. In hetzelfde jaar werd het pand in Oud-Velsen op 22 juli 1938 via een openbare veiling verkocht. Elisabeth Maria Mentink-Böhm kon de hypotheek voor het pand niet opbrengen, dat wil zeggen 50%-aandeel in de woning viel in de nalatenschap van Bernardus. Het pand werd verkocht, de nalatenschap werd onder de drie kinderen afgewikkeld, en Elisabeth Maria Mentink-Böm trok in bij haar dochter Elisabeth Maria Mentink. Zij woonde vervolgens aan de Da Costalaan 23 te Driehuis en woonde tot haar overlijden samen met haar dochter.
Op 2 augustus 1929 heeft Elisabeth Maria haar testament opgemaakt ten overstaan van notaris mr. Gerrit Daniël Boerlage te Velsen. Zij liet aan haar dochter al haar kleren, sieraden en haar (aandeel in het) onroerende goederen na. Haar dochter werd daarbij verplicht een som in te brengen gelijk aan de waarde van het onroerend goed (50% van de waarde van het ontroerend goed)6. De dochter werd verder nog belast met de uitvoering van het testament. Op dezelfde datum liet ook dochter Bets een testament opmaken waarbij zij haar moeder als enige erfgename aanwees. Op 2 augustus 1929 werd ook een schuldbekentenis aangegaan waarbij de inboedel van de woning aan dochter Elisabeth Maria Mentink werd verkocht voor ƒ 800,-. Verder werd een schuld erkend vanwege geleend geld voor levensonderhoud ter waarde van ƒ 2.112,-. De schuld nam in de opvolgende jaren toe (1930-1945). In de periode 1929-1945 werden 17 schuldbrieven bij de notaris opgesteld.
De openstaande schuld werd in 1938 niet afgelost bij de verkoop van de woning aan de Noorderdorpstraat 11 (kadastrale sectie H nr. 2655, groot 74 centiaren). Het aandeel van moeder in de woning was als overgedragen aan haar dochter via het testament van 1929. Na het overlijden van Bernardus (april 1938) werd op vrijdag 22 juli 1938 het huis geveild in het Friese Koffiehuis te IJmuiden-Oost. De veilingmeester was notaris G.D. Boerlage uit Velsen. De helft van de waarde bij verkoop van de woning in Oud-Velsen vormde de nalatenschap van Bernardus en werd verdeeld onder zijn drie nazaten: Joop, Niek en Bets. Het is (nog) niet bekend of Bernardus aan zijn kinderen meer heeft nagelaten.
Tot haar overlijden bleef Elisabeth Maria Mentink-Böhm de naam van haar ex-man voeren. Zij overleed op 17 maart 1947 te Velsen (Hoofdstraat 54 te Santpoort-Noord) en werd op 21 maart 1947 begraven op de Rooms-Katholieke begraafplaats bij de Engelmunduskerk te Velsen (Driehuis).
