    Maandagmorgen 25 September wilden we weer naar huis gaan maar er vallen weer zoveel granaten. Eén trof er precies een huurkoets op de Daalschedwarsweg, 4 dooden.
    Dinsdagavond 6 uur Duitse vliegtuigen. Ze gooiden bommen, één op een schuilkelder Vondelstraat, Men zegt 150 dooden. Eén vliegtuig stortte brandend neer en daardoor brandde af : bakkerij Brouwer Beijensstraat 2 met enkele huizen daarnaast plus sanitair zaak van Friebel en daartegenoverliggende melkzaak en dan nog gedeelte 1e en 2e Volksbelang.
    Oom Dikkie is intusschen naar Grave vervoerd en maakte het goed. Piet van Tante Troud heeft hem bezocht. Diezelfde avond kwamen ook naar Tante Troud gevlucht : Oom Wim met Tante Anny en Tiny, de kleine Elly lag in 't ziekenhuis. Ook de Moeder van Tante Anny was er bij. We gingen die nacht op kermisbedden bij Tante Troud, 15 personen. Maar we lagen pas een uur op bed en vluchtten naar de kelder waar we eerst sliepen want er kwamen weer Duitse vliegtuigen. We zaten toen maar met dekens om op kisten, maar 't bleef nogal rustig verder.
