21 meiEen stralende meimorgen dat we vertrokken, met een ploeg Schouwenaars, om ons te melden bij het O. T. lager Wijk aan Zee.
In Beverwijk werden we afgehaald met autobussen die ons naar W. a. Z. brachten, daar werden we gekeurd en opgesloten op een binnenplaats. Vandaar werden we ’s-avonds naar Schoorl gebracht, ook met bussen waar we in een oud Joods gevangenkamp ondergebracht werden, na eerst goed gegeten te hebben kregen we vrijheidsbeweging tot ‘s-zaterdags middags 4 uur. Cor Verton en ik zijn toen naar nog ’s-avonds naar Alkmaar gegaan. Waar we ‘s-nachts nog in een hotel geslapen hebben, de laatste nacht op een fijn bed.

12 JuniOm 10 uur zaterdags vertrokken uit Minsk om 1.40 in Borisow aan te komen waar we afgehaald werden door een vrachtwagen van de O.T. Die bracht ons naar een groote zagerij waar we weer gegeten hebben en sigaretten hebben gehad. Onze papieren in orde gemaakt. Daarna met 5 man , o. a. Rozemond, C. Verton, P. Le Blanc, een Vlaming en ik naar een ander lager gebracht, waar we goed ondergebracht werden. Daar onze bedden in orde gemaakt en toen weer gegeten, toen ons geschoren en gewassen, verschoond enz., gegeten en naar bed.

30 JuliOm ± 2 uur wakker geworden van het lawaai van het stel bezopen lui uit het lager, om half zes opgestaan en naar het werk, Verton ook mee geweest,een hele dag flink gewerkt (beton gestort) om ongeveer half 5 naar huis, geschoren enz. Om zes uur gegeten,wat rondgescharreld tot 7 uur, toen nog naar het werk tot 8 uur, wat op bezoek geweest bij Krener en Rupel om 10 naar huis en naar bed.

31 Juli5 uur 15 opgestaan, 6 uur naar het werk, heel kalm bekisting gesloopt daar de poulier nog niet helemaal nuchter was van 12 tot ± half twee schaft en toen nog tot half 4 gewerkt, naar huis, gewassen verkleed en om 5 uur gegeten, wat rond geschobberd tot ongeveer half acht, toen aan de snaps. Cor Verton, Rozemond en ik als Hollander, George Claessens als Belg en Paul en Ernst als Duitser ± nog het Russise mostel van Ernst opgedronken, zat als een varken na veel overgegeven te hebben ongeveer om half elf naar bed.
