Anno Domini MDCCXXVIII Op den 17 May is ten overstaan van wederzijdse Vrynden een Christelyck Huwelyck gesloten Tussen My: Joh. Jac. Slaterus & Juffrouw Christina Geertruid Meilings Dochter van Hoseas Meiling: in zyn leeven Predickant alhier tot Goor: en Esyna Raterincks. Eheluiden.

MDCXXVII. Op den IV Juny: des woensdaegs nae den middag: ben Ick en Voorgemelde Juffrouw alhier tot Goor, in den huwelycken Staet bevestigt, door myn waerden Amtgenoot & nu veel gliefen broeder Do. Zeno Meiling. God den insteller des Huwelyx bevestige ons verder in de Liefde & Agtervolge dit Huwelyck met allerley geestelijcke en lighamelycke Zeegeningen!
MDCCXXVII. Den 19 Juny de eerste geboorte dag van myn liefste geviert: Zy was geboren Den 19 Juny 1701. Zynde derhalven nu getreeden in het Zeevenentwintigste jaer haeres ouderdom. Zynde dus een jaer jonger als Ick. Hy, by wien geen beginzel der dagen nog eynde de Leevens is: wil ons nog drie mael zoo veel jaeren in zyn gunste bewaren!
MDCXXIX. In July wierd myn Swager en amptgenoot Do. Zeno Meyling van hier Beroepen tot Professor Theologiae & Eerste Predikant tot Lingen en heeft den 11 September zyn Afscheids predickatie gedaan over Hebr. 13: 20, 21. Zedert dien tyd wierde dan Ouwdste Predikant alhier. De Heere doe by my als bij zyn Ouwdste, hier genade en hier namaels Heerlyckheyt.
MDCXXX. De 20 Februarii is in plaats van mijn vertrocken swager wederom tot myn Medearbeider en amptgenoot in Gods huis beroepen Do. F.H. Monhemius S.S.M. Cand. tot Ligtenvoorde zynde dezelve verders na voorgaende Examen en approbatie door my met oplegginge de handen bevestigt op den 28 May zynde Pinxterdag: by welke gelegentheyt ick predikte over Psalm: 133. S.D.G.
Goor. Anno MDCCXLV D. 1 Maert 's nachts omtrent Elf uur is mijn Zeer Waerde en Geliefde Man J.J. Slaterus nae eene langduurige en quijnende ziekte overlden tot de uiterste droefheid van mij nagelaetene Weduwe Christina Geertruid Meiling en van mijne vier kinderen. als Hoseas, Johannes Jacobus, Esina en Henricus.
Hij wierdt begraeven in 't graf mijner Ouderen d. 10 derzelver maent, wanneer daegs tevooren zijnde d. 9 mijns mans lieve moeder Agathe Ronneboom Weduwe van wijlen Joh: Jac: Slaterus, nae een hevige borst Ziekte van vijf dagen, 's nagts tusschen twaelf en een, tot vermeerdering van onze Smerte en droefheit quam te overlijden. De Heere geeve, dat wij ons met een betaementlijke gelaetenheid aan Zijnen Heiligen Wille mogen onderwerpen!
