Zij leefde in 1556 in behoeftige omstandigheden te Le Quesnoy en werd op 22 april van dat jaar door haar schoonzoon Nicolas de Viller (vermoedelijk de echtgenoot van haar dochter Florentine, die ook meekwam) naar Alkmaar gebracht, waar zij tot haar dood door de kinderen van haar broer Augustijn onderhouden werd (Alkmaars Jaarboek 1971, blz. 77; Arch. Huis van Zessen 122 (rekening van uitgaven doorDirck Augustijnsz van Teylingen tot onderhoud van "ma tante") en waar zij in de Grote kerk werd begraven (Als "Mathante (!) die moije van die kinderen van Augustijn van Teylingen").
