Door zijn huwelijk met een dochter van Antonie van Santen (meesterslager in 's Hertogenbosch) wordt Jan Passier op 10 december 1708 eveneens meesterslager. Hij is daarmee de grondlegger van het slagersgeslacht Passier uit 's-Hertogenbosch.
