Gegeven te Utrecht huwelijksbijlage 31-08-1824. In de boeken van de rechtbank van eerste aanleg van Amersfoort heb ik voor 1824 naar een vonis gezocht en dat ook gevonden in 1819. Op 22-09-1819 werd hij veroordeeld tot 5 jaar gevangenisstraf wegens diefstal. Hij had op 26-08-1819 de diefstal te Baarn gepleegd. Van het erf van Cornelis Daatselaar had hij 2 manshemden een vrouwehemd, een badlaken en een kussensloop die te drogen hingen, ontvreemd. Zijn straf viel extra hoog uit omdat hij al eerder veroordeeld was. Volgens crmineel vonnis van het Hof van Assisies te Amsterdam d.d. 11-02-1812 was hij al veroordeeld to 1 uur tentoonstellen en 8 jaar tuchthuisstraf van wege veedieverij. Ook na zijn huwelijk bleef hij met justitie in aanraking komen. In het vonnisboek lag bij de bladzijde van 1819 een los velletje met daarop de volgende vermeldingen; Gerrit Hagenbeuk en vrouw; 19-07-1827, diefstal van goederen uit schuur, 22-01-1829 diefstal van grote ijzeren klauw en ijzeren greep uit schuurtje te Amersfoort, 04-06-1829 gecomdemneerd in boete van FL 20,= en cinfiscatie wegens wildstroperij. Hij is dus duidelijk een recidivist. Kopieen van die akten kon ik helaas niet maken omdat het dikke delen ouder dan 100 jaar waren.
Signalement van Gerrit is; lengte El 6, 5 Dm, 1 St., aangezigt ovaal, voorhoofd hoog, oogen blauw, neus ordinair, mond idem, kin rond, haar bruin, wenkbrauwen idem en merkbare tekenen pokdalig.
