Ellis op de dag van het huwelijk (09-12-1903): 'uit hoofde van ongesteldheid niet in de burgerlijkheid in zich, naar het raadhuis te begeven waarom dit huwelijk aan huis (tweede wijk Pietermaai, zonder (huis)nummer wordt voltrokken'.

'Verder verklaarden de echtgenooten mij (Harm Josias Cohen Henriques, hulpambtenaar van de Burgerlijke Stand) bij deze te erkennen vier kinderen met namen: Clemencia Fedelicia, Isabel Julia, Angelina Anselma en Carolina Natalia, respectievelijk geboren op den vier en twintigsten April 1878, twaalfden April 1880, eenentwintigsten April 1882 en eersten December 1886. De hierna te noemen getuigen hebben mij verklaard dat de echtgenote één en dezelfde persoon is die in de geboorte acten van de evengenoemde kinderen als de moeder voorkomt , onder de namen Orencia La Cruz en Orecia La Cruz.'

Baltazar Bonifacio overleed op 03-01-1904, 25 dagen na zijn huwelijk. Waarschijnlijk was het zijn laatste wens vóór zijn overlijden zijn 4 kinderen alsnog te erkennen en zijn echtgenote Martina Florencia tot erfgenaam te benoemen.
