Jan Frericks op het Verdriet, huw. 1706 (zoon van Frerick op het Verdriet) > o.a. Willem Verdriet, ged. 1713; in 1728 huwt Geertjen, de weduwe van Jan Verdriet, met Teunis Brengenberg, die zich vervolgend Teunis Verdriet noemt (ook hieruit kinderen met de fn. Verdriet); volgen enkele kettinghuwelijken, waarbij de fn. Verdriet geprolongeerd wordt [A.A. Oldenmenger, 'Het Verdriet in Oolde', in: Jaarboek Achterhoek en Liemers 1 (1978), p 140-142].
